In the Mobile VAS technology the Group operates through its Dublin-based subsidiary, Jinny Software Ltd, which delivers future-proof Value Added Services solutions to mobile operators, virtual network operators, and enterprises.

 

 

Jinny’s product suite includes key mobile VAS applications such as mobile text messaging, voicemail, missed call notification and USSD, and also includes more creative and innovative applications such as ringback tone and other call completion solutions, mobile advertising platforms, and Voice and VAS over mobile broadband.

 

All Jinny products are based on the Jinny Standard Platform. The Standard Platform is designed to open standards and is fully scalable, and helps to reduce costs by providing a single platform for all VAS applications. OPEX is reduced and companies can execute new services quickly and easily.

 

Implementation, project management, ongoing support and training for Jinny’s 70+ customers worldwide is provided by Jinny’s service teams located in the US, Brazil, Ireland, Kenya, UAE, Panama and Malaysia.

 

Jinny operates from its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, regional headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and sales offices in the US, Sao Paulo and Kuala Lumpur.


 

In Mobile telecommunications the Group began operating as a virtual operator in March 2009 through Nòverca Italia Srl, a joint venture with the Intesa Sanpaolo banking group, which owns 34% of the company.

 

 

The fact that Intesa Sanpaolo is a shareholder in Nòverca Italia is of great importance for the company, which has been set up by the two partners not only with a view to providing mobile financial services, but also with the aim of creating new uses for cell phones and, above all, new ways of accessing the services they provide. 

 

Nòverca Italia’s proprietary technology platform represents a potent competitive advantage, enabling the company to have full control over the development of new services, to benefit from significant operational flexibility and to be able to reduce and control its costs.

 

The new services brought to market by the company are based on "Novità and Ricerca" (Innovation and Research), a feature that was also behind the name of Nòverca itself. The SIM Card distributed by Nòverca Italia has been called Extended SIM, reflecting the fact that it marks an important new departure for mobile telecommunications: to supply users with a growing range of services via an easy-to-use and intuitively designed menu.


 

The MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabling) offering, born on the experience made in the development of the platform used by Nòverca Italia, is for all those who want to start new initiatives as mobile virtual operators, allowing them to focus on marketing and commercial, delegating to Acotel TLC all the technological aspects from the so-called "Mobile Core Network" to the operating systems (OSS) and business systems (SS).
